For your protection, except in the case of emergencies, we do not refill medications after office hours when your medical record is unavailable for review.
Please plan ahead for your refill needs by calling your pharmacy at least 1 week prior to needing your prescription. The pharmacy will contact the office if it is necessary.
We are able to transmit your prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy of choice. This is the fastest and most accurate method.
There are special regulator restrictions which mean certain kinds of medications must be transmitted in a special manner. These reply to what are called "controlled substances" such as certain pain medications, transquilizers, and sleeping medications.
The physician on call after hours or on weekends is NOT able to refill controlled subtances such as pain medications, sedatives, or sleeping pills.
